1 = Beginner (student shows beginning understanding, may miss steps or show many common errors in work)
2 = Developing (student shows basic understanding, rarely misses important steps, only shows errors in new learning)
3 = Accomplished (student shows solid understanding by making little to no errors or missed steps)

Acceptable Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Reagent QC is performed as required and is performed in accordance to test method SOPs. Uses only QC passed reagents and equipment. Replenishes supplies. Documents all procedure temperatures/times/lot numbers as proof of following the procedure on worksheets. Initials all changes, does not deface past results. Accurately records information at accessioning/grossing and performs proper quality measures to maintain specimen integrity.
Accuracy Testing
Prioritizes testing according to urgency and makes sound process decisions that support lab completion. Troubleshoots unexpected findings/rules out technical errors. Achieves technically accurate results. Documents repeat testing.

Safety Chemical
Proper PPE used. Dressed appropriately for lab.
Biological
Proper PPE used. Dressed appropriately for lab, Proper methods used for waste disposal, hand washing. Workstations properly disinfected and recorded.
Equipment
Glassware inspected and replaced if chipped/broken. Proper use of microscopes, pipette washer, balances, pipettes, hotplates.
