Pass/Fail

Technical Skills: demonstrating safe and professional practices according to the Laboratory Evaluation Rubric. This includes, but is not limited to:

• attendance at labs
• keeping an accurate record of demonstrations and work performed
• cleaning and maintaining the microscopes
• using Köhler (critical) illumination when available
• maintaining a safe and organized workspace
• demonstrating professional practice
• following test procedures
• ability to identify unknown organisms in a sample(s)
• time management and organizational skills
• critical thinking skills

There will be several unknown labs for assessment throughout the semester.
