About the Authors

Adrienne Watt holds a Computer Systems Diploma (BCIT), a Bachelors in Technology (BCIT) and a Master’s in Business Administration (City University).

Since 1989, Adrienne has worked as an educator and gained extensive experience developing and delivering business and technology curriculum to post-secondary students. During that time she ran a successful software development business. In the business she worked as an IT Professional in a variety of senior positions including Project Manager, Database Designer, Administrator and Business Analyst. Recently she has been exploring a wide range of technology related tools and processes to improve delivery methods and enhance learning for her students.

Florence Daddey has an interdisciplinary background and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Adult Education, and a Masters of Business Administration. Florence has over 20 years’ experience in teaching, curriculum development and program management in post-secondary education. In her role as a senior instructional designer at the JIBC, she has worked on many projects across the institute and coordinates faculty development activities. She teaches on the Law Enforcement Diploma Studies program (LESD), Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies (BLES) and Emergency and Security Management Studies (BESMS) program. Her research interest includes pedagogical approaches to curriculum and learning designs for different learning environments – face-to-face, online and blended.

Previously, Florence was an instructional designer at Thompson Rivers University-Open Learning and British Columbia Open University. She spent 11 years as a faculty member at Bromley College of Further and Higher Education (Kent) and Greenwich Community College (Woolwich) in England UK.
