Part 2: Project Initiation

This is the first phase of the project life cycle.

In this part, you will:

  • Justify the need for project procurement management.
  • Develop a Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Develop a Project Proposal.
  • Discuss the importance and purpose of project planning.
  • Identify the basic processes and activities required in the planning phase.

The objective is to explore activities common to project initiation and provide a foundation for the full set of project management activities which follow.
